FAQs
Do I need a Doctor's referral?
No, you do not require a Doctor’s referral to be seen by one of our expert therapists. We are educated to assess and treat and can provide a physiotherapy diagnosis. If you do have a referral from a doctor please bring it along.
Individual insurance company’s may require a Doctor’s referral to provide coverage. You will have to contact your insurance company if this is the case.
Do you direct bill?
YES! We direct bill to most major insurance companies. Please feel free to contact us for specific insurance companies.
Do you accept ICBC/WSBC claims?
YES! Please have your claim number available, and any other information regarding this claim (date of injury/accident, claim manager, etc). If you do not yet have a claim number, please contact the appropriate insurance company as this is required to bill for services.
What can I expect at my first visit?
Your therapist will complete an assessment, treatment, and treatment plan in your 30 or 60 minute appointment. This may require some hands-on techniques and good visualization of the treatment area. Please dress in athletic attire or stretchy clothes so we can see how you move. You will leave each appointment with a better understanding of what is going on, and a plan moving forward, including education and a home exercise program (if appropriate).
If you are coming for a running assessment, please also arrive with running shoes and a water bottle as you will spend some time on the treadmill.
What is your cancellation policy?
Your appointment time is reserved just for you, as such we require 24-hours notice for any cancellations or changing of appointments. This is to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to book in with our therapists to receive care.
Should you be required to cancel or change your appointment within 24 hours of your scheduled time, or should you not attend your appointment at your scheduled time, you will be charged a cancellation fee equivalent to the appointment fee.
Cancellations due to extenuating circumstances will be assessed on a case by case basis.
