Anatomical Acupuncture
Anatomical Acupuncture
What is Anatomical Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is effective for treating and managing pain, increasing energy, and improving mood and function. It uses single use dry needles inserted into specific anatomical points to stimulate the balance and flow of Qi (pronounced “chee”) energy. When balance or flow of Qi is deficient or obstructed, it may be susceptible to illness or cause symptoms. Acupuncture stimulates the release of endorphins (natural pain relieving hormones) to encourage natural healing. Acupuncture is useful in treating conditions such as: low back pain, osteoarthritis, sprains, strains, whiplash and headaches.
What can I expect?
Single use, dry needles are used to insert into acupuncture points. Some clients experience discomfort, an ache, warmth or heaviness (Qi) when the needle is inserted, others feel nothing and find the treatment quite relaxing.
Needles are inserted and left in for a period of time, which is determined by your practitioner. If at any point you feel discomfort or are uncomfortable, please let your practitioner know.
